I am looking for the family of my Grandfather Richard B. Waller and his wife Carrie Anderson. He was born 7/5/1842 in Williamson Co., TN. He joined the CSA July 13, 1861. He was a Provost Guard for 2nd FL Inf, Co. D. and served until the end of the war. He and Carrie were married 2/16/1868 in Waukeena, FL. She gave birth to Charles Waller in 1873 in Wakulla. She died shortely thereafter. R.B. is mentioned as being a cousin to the Kidder Moore. Family rumor is that he left Jefferson Co in the 1870's and went to Palatka in Putnam County, FL. There is a J. Patton Anderson named in the Jefferson Co. History book. I have read his letters on the internet and think that possibly he is a link or even kinsman to Carrie. He mentions Willie which was the name of R.B.'s cousin whom he walked home from the Civil War with. Gen. Anderson also mentions the boys from Monticello and according to some of the Moore history, they attended school in Monticello as well as private schools. (NOTE: The child named in Gen. Andersons letters as "The" could it have been "Ike" as there is a Ike Anderson living in Monticello and is of one of the original family's. Any help would be helpful. R.B. finally migrated to Citrus Co. in 1886 where he Homesteaded and married his third wife Lillian Peters. He died in 1930 and is buried in the New Hope Cemetery, Citrus County, FL. He has left 100's of decendents who would like to know the full story.
