Edmond Black came to Sumter Co. Abt. 1853 from Pike/Coffee Co. Al. He died in Sumter in 1857. His wife Edith is head of family in the 1860 census there. I do not find her in any other censuses of Fla. Does any one know what happened to her and where she and Edmond are buried. I've walked over many cemetaries there.
Caleb Griffin was my GGG-Gfather on the other side of the family, wife Emily (milly) and was a minister of the gospel, listed so in the 1885 census, and was of the Primitive Baptist Faith. I've never found where he pastored or performed any marriages in Sumter. Would also like to find his burial place. Any one have any clues? Would appreciate any and all info. Will share what I have.
