Re: Drew Family of Madison
We are doing research on the Drew family of Madison, FL as well. Found a marriage record for Farnal Drew and Sarah Gray in Jefferson County, Monticello, FL married 11-19-1828. Sarah is buried at Concord Cemetery in Madison - could not find Farnal. His name is spelled various ways in searches. Parnell, Farnell, Farnelle, Fermal - He is listed as "Fermal" and dying in 1860 on the Madison County, Florida mortality schedule. Sarah was born in 1811 in Burke County, GA. and although records indicate "they" moved to Madison County in 1834 - they were in Jefferson County prior to 1828 the year they were married - records show Sarah's father was also in Jefferson County - his name was Edmund or Edmond. Still researching, but would be happy to communicate with you via email - my husband is William Drew, son of James L. Drew, son of William Thomas Drew, son of James E. Drew (brother of Mitchell Columbus Drew - James also had a son named Mitchell Columbus Drew - no doubt named after James' brother) - James b. 1838 and Mitchell b. 1846 sons of Farnal Drew
