John had at least 8 children known only from census sexes and age brackets. His last five children were John Nelson STEWART b 1828, Charles STEWART b ca 1831, James S. STEWART b 1833, Sarah Ann STEWART b 1835 and Eli STEWAR b 1838. A possible daughter Elizabeth m a Samuel ANDERSON. They, the widow and the five known children were in Barbour Co AL in 1850.
