Can anybody tell me about the medication JAS-HR (Johnson's Acid Stomach & Heart Relief)? It was a medication made by Benjamin Daniel Johnson who lived south of Midville. He had a trademark for this liquid medication. After his death in 1940, his daughter, Bessie Johnson Roberts made the medicine. People from all over the state of Georgia came to buy it. B.D. Johnson was also an unlicensed veteranarian, said to be one of the best in the county. Apparently, a licensed veteranarian tried to bring a lawsuit against him, but the vet lost. This probably took place before 1940. Any information would be appreciated!
