Davine,
Sarah Susannah
Fowler, b. 1832,
Rabun County,
GA is my gg grandmother. She is also the sister to your Nathaniel
Mears Fowler. Sarah and her husband, Henry
Tidwell, b. 1832,
Forsyth County,
GA had a son (my g grandfather) who they named after your N M
Fowler. His name was Nathaniel
Mears Tidwell. My Nathaniel (and his 2 brothers, James and Aaron
Anderson Tidwell) were raised by their grandmother, Elizabeth
Fowler in
Forsyth County,
GA. The
Tidwell boys moved to
Arkansas around the 1880s. I have some (at least one census record showing your Nathaniel
Mears Fowler living at home with mother Elizabeth. And of course, Elizabeth was married to Aaron
Fowler. These are my ggg grandparents. Currently, there is land in
Forsyth County being preserved as a historical site where the Fowlers lived. I just happened to be in
Cummin,
GA when the article in the paper came out.
Do you have a copy of NM Fowlers
DAWES enrollment card?, and if so, can you share the information on it?
Am anxious to hear from you.
