Emory WINSHIP was born in Forsyth, Georgia, in 1829 and died in Macon, Georgia, in 1888. He married Elizabeth ALEXANDER. His wife, Elizabeth Alexander, was the daughter of William ALEXANDER and Mary BLANTON ALEXANDER. Emory and Elizabeth WINSHIP had three sons: Isaac WINSHIP b. 1861, BLANTON WINSHIP b. 1869 in Macon, GA; Emory WINSHIP b. Feb 1872 in Macon, GA, m. Katherine Dillion. Emory Sr. and wife, Elizabeth Winship's son, Isaac WINSHIP b. 1861, m. Minnie Custis Ralls and their children were: Fannie Ralls WINSHIP, Julia Rogers WINSHIP, William Redding WINSHIP. I am interested in Emory Sr. Winship's wife, Elizabeth Alexander, since her mother was a BLANTON and she named one of her sons: BLANTON and she had a grandson named Redding. I have a BLANTON in my family tree who also named his first son: Redding J. Blanton. I would be interested in corresponding with any descendants of this family.
