According to Cobb's "A History of Marion Co, Georgia...", page 339, "Sarah L. JARRELL was the daughter of Redding JARRELL. He was a large plantation owner in Greene Co, GA having owned about 550 acres of land at one time."

Sarah was married 18 Jan 1822 to Ptolemy JERNIGAN, b 4 Aug 1795. Both were born and reared near White Plains at the county line of Greene and Hancock Counties. They lived in Greene Co until 1842 and then moved to Talbot Co. The two moved their family to Marion Co around 1851 where both died and many of their descendants live today.

Their children were Martha M, b 1823; John C, b 1825; Frances Addie, b 1829; William, b 1831; Mary E, b 1833; Missouri Ananet, b 1836; Albert Hardy, b 1840; Andrew Jackson, b 1846; Elisha Redding, b 1847; John Omie,

Ptolemy JERNIGAN's father was Hardy JERNIGAN, d in 1836.

I am seeking information on Sarah JARRELL's parents and siblings. Also the same on Ptolemy JERNIGAN's.
