I thank you for the information. I have always belived Rachel to be a widow in 1819 when her daughter Elizabeth married John Dunman as she signed for permission. I believe her husband would have done so if he had been alive. What do you think? I have a family oral history that was written briefly in 1930 by my mother when her grandmother thought she was very ill. I would like to be able to send it to you to look over, if that is all right. It says that "grandma Carlton came from Scotland by way of Ireland and that Grandpa Carlton came from Spain" I always thought that was funny because Carlton is such an English name. I had the DNA test and it shows that the Spanish information may be correct! You could send me your email so I can attach the file. I Thank you so much for your help.
