Hello there, I am looking for information on the Walker family of Mulberry Grove, Harris County, GA. I have pictures of the family cemetery in the 1940s when my grandmother (at that time a young teenager) and her family went to visit the old William Walker plantation. William Walker was known as "Rich Billy". He was born in 1765 and died 1831. His wife was Mary Vivion Walker (1771-1857).

We know that in 1859 the plantation was bought by Dr. E.C. Hood from Elijah Cook who oversaw the plantation. Elijah married one of William Walker's daughters.

In the 1930s the Terrell family owned the plantation, but were going through hard times and needed to sell. The owner at the time, Mamie H. Terrell, was writing letters to family memebers to see if someone in the family could buy it so they didn't have to sell it to outsiders.

As of 1963, the Jessie T. Doughtie family owned the property. We don't know who currently owns it, but would really like to connect with them.

I have "directions" as to where the cemetery/homestead is located:

-Take 315 to Hamilton-Mulberry Grove Road (paved), turn R
-To Hudson Rd, turn left (2nd dirt road)

These are directions from the early 1990s when my grandmother returned to the cemetery, which was in bad shape.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!
