Dear Jim, You have a James McDonald in your line of family.I believe I have proven the James McDonald in Bibb Co. Ga. is the son of James and Sara Matthews McDonald, first found in Cumberland Co. N.C. 1760.James and Sara had children, Mary, JamesJr.,Matthews,born 1769,Cumberland Co. Jacob, 1770's, William, my line born at Yadkins Falls, Montgomery Co. N.C. James and James Jr. joined the Malitia, 1784,James Sr. was at Lookout Mt.Tenn. spying on the French, Spanish in 1785.I have a very interesting copy of a letter he wrote to Co.
