My records from the net show that Dennis Powell husband od Catherine Elizabeth Bozeman was born in Lee Co. in 1831. His parents were Nathan Powell Jr. and a Margaret Gamble. Later in Worth CO. census, Dennis is 31 in 1860 so his dob might be 1829. Also I show Nathan and Margaret were married in December of 1831. If the dates are correct, there might be a common law situation. Does anyone know better dates or perhaps an earlier wife for Nathan Jr. that may have been Dennis mother? He may have had a brother named Nathan also.
