CAMPBELL, OH –Mrs. Carrie Lee Bledsoe, 93, formerly of Youngstown, Ohio who departed this life on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mrs. Bledsoe was born June 21, 1918, in Greenville, Georgia,(Meriwether County) a daughter of Melvin Jackson Warner and Carrie Harden Warner.
She was a medical technician for Dr. William P. Young.
She was a member of the church, its Missionary Society, Inspiration Chorus and Crusaders Sunday School Class. She was also a former member of Youngstown Medical Society.
Her husband, William F. Bledsoe, died Nov. 1, 1992.
She leaves a son, Melvin L. (Jessie) Bledsoe, with whom she made her home; son-in-law Buddy Smallwood Sr.; two granddaughters, Cynthia Smallwood and Malvetta Clayborne; a grandson, Buddy (Brooke) Smallwood Jr.; a grandson-in-law, Channing Wran; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Joyce Irene Smallwood; three brothers, Mansfield, Robert and John Warner; three sisters, Lorena Shearer, Louise Warner and Mary Katherine Watson; and a granddaughter, Darla Smallwood-Wran.
The family of Carrie Bledsoe would like to thank the care givers at home, the nursing home and St. Elizabeth Health Center for their help.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19 2012 at the Third Baptist Church
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the church
