I'm searching for information on Thomas J.G. (Jefferson Greenfield)Clark (born 24 Aug. 1807). He drew land in Monroe county GA in the Land Lottery of 1821. According to the lottery records he was an orphan and his home county was listed as Greene County. He married Eliza Elizabeth Smart (born 11 Nov. 1810). the marriage took place in Monroe County, GA on 27 Dec. 1827. I have been able to trace their movement through census records as follows. 1830- Monroe County GA, 1840- Muscogee County GA, Then into south Alabama 1850- Barbour County, 1860-Dale County, 1870-Henry County, and 1880 Covington County. Thomas J. G. Clark and his wife Eliza Elizabeth (Smart) Clark had ten children Mary Ann-(born 12 Oct. 1828), Lizabeth Penelopy (born 12 Oct. 1830), Thomas Jefferson (my great great Grandfather born 24 Jan 1833), William Bradley (born 15 Mar 1835), Nancy Ann (born 17 Nov. 1837), John Henry ( born 7 Mar 1840), Eliza Margaret (born 29 Oct. 1842), James Jasper (born 21 Jun. 1845), Bartley Augustus (born in 1849), and Elias A (born 1851). I would like to find the name of the parents of Thomas J.G. Clark and Eliza Elizabeth (Smart) Clark. I have found in an 1880 Henry County, AL census that his parents were born in South Carolina and hers in Virginia, this however is all I know of them. Any information can be emailed to me at 6clark1@cox.net

Thank You

Kevin Clark
