Hi Emily, thanks so much for your reply! Is your Elijah Shaw the same man that served in the CSA? Came across a record of one in Ga....
I am going to take advantage of your so kind offer to check the Polk Co Cemetery book - there are just a few persons that the info might lead me to obits having birth/death dates:
In-laws:
Samuel Jackson CRABB - died abt 1887?
Sarah Ann Malvina [White] CRABB - died abt 1887?
Thomas Jackson CRABB - died abt 1949 near 100 years old
G/parents James D. SMITH & Elizabeth [SHAW] married somewhere in Ga 17 Nov 1850 or 1851. G/mother Elizabeth was born 24 Dec 1835 (per her personal Bible). Their sons:
Wm Washington SMITH - born 07 Apr 1854
James Henry SMITH - born 29 Mar 1862
John Gibson SMITH - born 20 Jul 1868
Tom Burton SMITH - born 06 Apr 1870
=====================================
I will keep an eye out for any Elijah Shaw's I come across and send you the information via email. If their is a connection between your Elijah and my Elizabeth, I'm guessing he might be her nephew...?
I hope your holidays are abundantly blessed!
