Searching for any information on the family of John Pence & Belirah Tate, both of whom died (probably) in Polk Co after the 1870 census.
They had the following children:

Louisa, born about 1829, GA (age 21 on the 1850 census in Cobb Co)

William W., born about 1832, GA (age 18 on the 1850 census)

Francis M. (female), born about 1834, GA (age 16 on the 1850 census)

Jasper J., born about 1836, GA (age 14 in 1850)

Nicie/Nicy Elmina, born about 1838, GA (age 12 in 1850)

Martha A. born about 1840, GA (age 10 in 1850)

Gilbert L. Pence, born about 1842, GA (age 8 in 1850)
Married Sarah L. about 1861. Lived next door to his parents in 1870 in Polk Co (Cedartown PO). In 1880, he was a 39 year old farmer in Morgan Co, AL.

John Tate Pence, born about 1844, GA (age 6 oin 1850) Married Susan Wheeler about 1867. Moved to Cherokee Co, AL.

Mary Jane Pence, born 12 Oct 1845, GA, married James William Riley about 1872, probably in Polk Co, died 18 Jan 1928, Etowah Co, AL. Moved from Polk Co to Etowah Co about 1884.

Caroline, born about 1848, GA (age 2 in 1850)

Susan C., born about 1852, GA (age 18 in 1870)
