Georgia, Pulaski County: This indenture made this twenty fifth day of February Eighteeen hundred and twenty four between Neil Shaw of the county of Jones and State aforesaid of the one part and Beverly A. Simmons of the county of Pulaski and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Neil Shaw for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid the receipt thereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell (illegible) convey and confirm unto the said Beverly A. Simmons his heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns all that piece Lot Tract or parcel of Land Contained Two Hundred two & a half acres Situated lying and being in the Twenty first District of Wilkinson County formerly now Pulaski County and know herein as No 248 (Number Two hundred & forty eight) to have and to hold the said land unto the said Beverly A Simmons his heirs and assigns together with all & singular the rights (illegible) appertanances there unto belonging or in any (illegible) appertaining and the said Neil Shaw for himself his heirs and Executors Administrators Unto the Said Beverly A. Simmons his heirs, Exec. Adm. and assigns the aforesaid tract of Land shall warrant and forever defend against all the claims of all person or persons whomsoever in witnesseth whereof I the said Neil Shaw hereunto set my hand and seal this day and year above written Signed Seal'd and delivered in presence of P.
