JOHN WEST died in Talbot County, Georgia in 1835 and is buried somewhere in Talbot Co. I would like to have a DAR maker for Revolutionary Soldiers put on his grave. Would appreciate any help in locating his grave. His wife POLLY (PARKER)WEST would be buried nearby. He had a son, THOMAS WESTwho married ELIZABETH HORNE. , Son RUFUS (ROBERT)WEST and family were nearby. The sons and grandsons went to Scott Co. Ms. by 1850. JOHN WEST lived in Jasper Co. Ga from 1805 untill he won land in Talbot Co. in 1832 drawing. He and his wife POLLY (MARY) PARKER were from Bertie and Gates Counties, NC. When RUFUS WEST and family moved to MS, they lived next to JAMES L BURKS, also from Talbot and Jasper Co. BENJAMIN and MELBURN SEXTON/SAXON and WILLIAM C. WALLIS/WALLACE of Crawford Co. Ga. were related to this WEST family. would like to hear from anyone searching these families. I have a lot of information to share.
