attached is photo of William Clark Sloan marriage to Ada Livings. The son Andrew lived, for a short time, with George Leonard Sloan. Son William and daughter Mary lived with a John W. Robertson and his wife, Elizabeth. On several census rolls William and Mary incorrectly appear as step-sons of John W. Robertson. On at least one census roll William is enumerated as a Sloan. I have read statement that Ada Livings Sloan was a patient/inmate in an insane asylum in Lauderdale MS but have not yet been able to prove that. I also have fairly substantial proof that "Sloan" was not birth name of William Clark or George Leonard. Their correct birth name was Hascale/Haskell. The name "Sloan" is believed to be a consequence of their mother's re-marriage to a William A. Sloan approximately 1853. Willing to exchange whatever information I have with you.
