I'm looking for any information regarding a great-great-great grandfather, John Thomas PEARCE/PIERCE, born circa 1820 in GA and died circa 1848 in Washington Co., GA. He married on 09 Nov 1843 in Washington Co., GA to Martha COX, born in 1820 in Washington Co., GA and died in 1860 in Washington Co., GA. Both are buried in the Pierce Family Cemetery near Oconee.

I've seen claims that John's name was William, and that he went by nicknames of either "Will" or "Willie," but I've found no proof for this. I believe he might be descended from either John, William A., or Abraham PEARCE/PIERCE, three brothers who came to Washington Co., GA after the Revolutionary War. They were sons of a Richard PEARCE/PIERCE, born circa 1691 in Warwick Co., VA. If anyone can be of any assistance, it'd be appreciated. I'll be happy to exchange any info I have.
