I'm seeking info on Thomas C. Butler, My maternal gggrandfather. Following is all the info I have on he and his immediate family:

Born ca. 1805 (probably GA)
Married Elizabeth "Betsy" Haney (1846 in probably SC-1924 in probably GA); some data I've received on her indicate she may be at least part Cherokee)
Children (most likely all born in Georgia) include:

Sarah Butler (born ca. 1857 -- )
Martha Ann Butler (1860-1937) She is my gggrandmother. First, married Unknown Smith and then married John R. Wilbanks (1866-1925)
Mary O. Butler (born ca. 1861 -- ) married Ephraim Pruitt
Emma/Emily Butler (born ca. 1864 -- ) Married Bud Martin
Samantha Butler (born ca. 1865 -- )
Amanda Butler (born ca. 1866 -- ) (Samantha/Amanda may be same person)
Twins Lawrence C. & Florence Butler (born 1871); Lawrence married Evaline Banister (1881-1957), children Jesse L. Butler and Sybil Butler Skelton. No info on Florence other than DOB

Per 1870 and 1880 Federal Census records, Thomas Butler family was residing in Forsyth County, GA (Big Creek District & Bells). According to same 2 records, he was a farmer and gunsmith. According to "our family lore" he made guns for the Confederates.

If you have any info, it will be greatly appreciated. I can be reached by email, jmyork48@yahoo.com. Many thanks!
