Seeking Hancock family, early 1800's (Echol and Oliver too?)

My 3rd Great Grandfather was Larkin Hancock. The earliest date I have him in Wilkes is 1818, when he served in the Wilkes County Militia in the Seminole War. I have good circumstantial evidence that he parents were Thomas and Nancy Hancock.

The Hancock's might be related to the Echols and Oliver families there, when Thomas Hancock died in about 1815, Edward Echols was appointed estate admin along with Thomas' wife Nancy Hancock. Leading me to ponder if Edward Echols might be Nancy's father, or maybe a brother.

Also, Dionysious Oliver's name pops up alot in the land deed transactions of the Hancock's and Echols.

I have all three volumes of the Wilkes Co. Records book, and I'm not sure if there are any other records aside from those. Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.
