I don't have a lot on Elvira and you probably have everything that I have. She was living in the next HH to my gggrandfather Charles Britton and wife Jane in Hawkins County 1850 and I am convinced that she is his sister. Charles was listed as 65 and should have been 25 0r 26. He was 36 in 1860 with same wife and daughters Nancy and Mary.
Elvira is listed as 33 and William Britton 66 with a Martha Britton age 4. William's age may be wrong also. but if it is correct then I believe that he might be a brother to Abraham the nephew of Joseph Britton Sr. and a first cousin 1x removed to Elvira. This is speculation not fact. William Britton the full brother to Joseph Sr. was in Washington County,Tn with Joseph. His wife was said to be named Hannah He had sons George, Abraham, and William. Other than that I have that Elvira married first Thomas Morelock who may have died before 1840. In 1840 she is Head of Household that has only herself age 20-30 and a female under 5. She must have married William Britton before 1845. Is Martha Britton and Sarah Britton the same person? In 1860 a Martha Britton age 14 and a John Britton 11 are living with David and Mary Britton (widow of Joseph who married 2nd his brother David).
