Thank you for your great work on this biography. May I add additional information on one the children. Her name was Mary Etta born 10/29/1866. Her daughter Mary Dan Parker Hays was my grandmother. Mary Dan's father died 3 weeks before she was born. Mary Etta had 3 children with her second husband James Guest. There are Reubin J. F. (1875-1963) known as Uncle Reubin, Davy Ida Jane (1881-1967) and Archibald William McKinley known as Uncle Mack (1898-1988.) Uncle Mack owned a cotton mill in Fort Payne that made socks. He kept hunting dogs in the back yard and also had a house dog. He had a collection of hand guns including Derringers, dueling pistols, etc which he let my cousins play with (unloaded) in his basement. He also had a coin collection which included a silver dollar issued during George Washington's presidency. Uncle Mack and his wife Aunt Beulah did not have children. Most of these people are buried at Glenwood Cemetery in Fort Payne.
