I looked at the County indexes for 1900 and 1910 and didn't find any of your Hurd family members. Do you know when and where they were born?

I'd contact the Council Valley Museum, home.ctcweb.net/~dafisk/index.htm about Circle C Ranch info. Ranch names change when they're handed down to the next generation. Did the Hurd's own the ranch? If they only worked there during that timeframe, they should appear on the Census records.
