Winona Shepherd, age 91, the first child of Earl Shepherd (1899-1939 and Jhoun Chugg (1899-1983), was born in Paris, Oct 20, 1920. Her grandfather, Joseph R. Shepherd (1865-1935), and her great-grandfather, William Budge(1828-1919), were both Logan Temple Presidents. Winona moved to California in 1938 after graduating from Fielding High School in Paris. She died peacefully in her home of 46 years in Torrance, Calif. on Aug. 7. Coming home, her ashes will lie next to her second husband and high school sweetheart, Daryl Michaelson (1918-1981) in the St. Charles Cemetery. Winona is survived by sisters, Ramona Adams (Wendell) and Au-Deane Cowley (Carter) of Utah; Children, Lynne (Evans) Huie, Hadyn Evans and Roger Evans; four granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.
