Kyle Hayes Phelps, 68, passed away Nov. 10, 2012 at home surrounded by his family. He was born April 14, 1944 in Montpelier to Clyde Monroe and Lillian Hayes Phelps.
He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1962 and joined the U.S. Air Force in October of that year. He was honorably discharged in 1964.
He then attended welding school at ISU. In Oct. of that year, he met the love of his life, Susan. They were married in 1967. They were blessed with three children.
Kyle loved his family, hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. He was active in snowmobiling and supportive of his children in hill climbing.
He is survived by his wife, Susan, his daughters Toni (Darren) Cunningham, Dana (Troy) Passey and his son Dolan (Malynda), his brother, Dean, of Moreno Valley, Calif., his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, (Dawson Kyle) and one sister, Gae (Dayton) Dimick.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 17 in the Montpelier First Ward LDS chapel at noon.
