Wanda was born April 6, 1912, in Sharon, Idaho, near Montpelier, the daughter of William K. Smith and Delpha Arnell Smith. As a child, she attended a one-room school house.

She was employed by Woolworth’s. She later worked many years and retired from Garrett Freightlines in their office doing clerical work.

She loved to sing with the Sweet Adelines and also enjoyed playing pinochle. She was a visiting teacher for 72 years and held many positions in the church. When she couldn’t go to church, the visiting teachers would come and visit her and the priesthood would bring her sacrament .

She loved to fish, hunt, camp, and spend time with her six generations of family. She was an avid baseball fan.

She is survived by daughter Donna Bowman of Chubbuck; daughter Gerrie (Jerry) Sly of Boise, Idaho; daughter Dee (Larry) Goodson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; daughter Laurel (Lionel) Bowen of Walnut Creek, Calif.; sister Lois Larsen of Pocatello; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren, 10 step-great-great-grandchildren, and 6 step-great-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one son, three sisters, one brother, one grandson, one granddaughter, two great grandsons, and one great-great-grandson.

We would like to thank everyone at Highland Hills for the loving care that was given to our mom.
