David E. Evans passed away May 22, 2013 at the age of 85 at his home in Montpelier, Idaho. He was born September 21, 1927 to Ivan Alphonzo and May Barrett Evans in Home Gardens (Southgate), Calif.
He is survived by his wife Anita J. Evans and their three children Penny I. (Peter) Schmidt, Ronald A. (Jennifer) Evans, John O. (Kathy) Evans; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers, Virginia Walsh, Joseph (Ethel) Evans, LaVerne Evans, Beverly Mazzanti, and Genevive (James) Berry.
A son, a granddaughter, and a sister, Marie Waters preceded him in death.
David and Anita were sealed in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. They lived in Whittier, California until 1992 when they moved to Montpelier. David also moved his business, Kim Ran Screw Products the same year.
David was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served faithfully in all his church callings.
A viewing will be held Friday, May 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Matthews Mortuary located at 702 Clay Street in Montpelier.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1 at 11 a.m. with a viewing from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the Montpelier South Stake at 340 North 6th Street.
Interment will be at the Montpelier Cemetery.
