Merrill Jesse “Mike” Floyd, 67, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 at his home in Boise, Idaho due to complications from cancer. He was born in Montpelier, Idaho on February 28, 1946 to William Fielding Floyd and Carrie Hannah Mattson Floyd. He spent his early years growing up in St. Charles, Bear Lake, Idaho and moved to Pocatello, Idaho in 1951.
He graduated from Pocatello High School and spent most of his working years in the construction business.
Mike married Elaine Lenaghen on July 2, 1978. He is survived by his wife Elaine Floyd, Daughter Brandy Floyd, Step Daughter Laramie George, Step Son Robert (Tayna) George, a Grandson Michael George, Sister Merlyn (Stanley) Barrus, and many Nieces and Nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Valenna Redden, Dean Floyd, Leonard Floyd, VaNae Francis and Marion Floyd.
Mike lived with great passion & abandon and was always known to have a fast sports car. As per his request, he has been cremated and will have no services.
