Wayne Owen Stock, born May 16, 1936 in Fish Haven Idaho passed away Sept 4, 2013 at his home in Chubbuck Idaho surrounded by his family, from complications of cancer. He is the son of Owen Ray and Erma Stock.

His childhood was spent in Bear Lake attending grade school in Fish Haven and Fielding High School in Paris, Idaho. He also attended Utah State University.

Wayne began his career with Mtn. States Telephone before he and Marlene Piggott were married. The marriage was in the Logan Temple on September 12, 1958. Soon after being married he enlisted in the US Army as he was going to be drafted. He was stationed at Fort Ord, Calif. After his return from the service he remained in the reserves. He then returned to work for Mtn. Bell as they had held his job for him while he served his country. He retired from Pacific Bell after working for 44 years in the bell system.

A daughter, Tracy and a son, Kyle along with 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren were his pride and joy.

He held many leadership positions in the LDS Church. He served with his wife in Quezan City Phillipines Mission from 1992 – 1994. After their mission they were called as ordinance workers at the Idaho Falls temple.

Wayne was a member of the Eastern Idaho Air Modelers. He enjoyed photography and received many awards for his work. His love was to return each year to Bear Lake for the hunting season to make sure everyone got their trophy elk or deer. Next to flying his airplanes, he loved to golf, especially with his family. He loved to entertain everyone around the fireplace or campfire with his harmonica.

Surviving are his wife Marlene, daughter Tracy Bohman (Dane), son Kyle (Jennifer), grandchildren: Kody (Nikell), Baillee, Riley(Angelina) and Josey Stock; Dana Gillette(Andrew), Jared Bohman, Mitchell, Jake and Josh(Tianna) Cutler and Brother Dean of Salt Lake City. Great- Grandchildren Katelyn Carey and Lindsey Nichole Gillette, Malaya Cutler and Treyson Wayne Stock

He was preceded in death by his parents and Sister Gloria.

A viewing will be held at the Wilks Funeral Home, 211 West Chubbuck Roadon Monday, September 9, 2013 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Funeral services will be held in the Chubbuck 2nd Ward, Chubbuck & Hawthorne at 11AM on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 with a viewing one hour prior to services.
