Our Mother, Grandmother, and Meme, Norma Jane Langley passed away November 10, 2013 with her family by her side, after a yearlong battle of bone cancer. She was born August 13, 1946 in Fowler California to Norman and Gertie Gregory. She spent her childhood and school years in Caruthers California. At age 14, she met her soul mate, Clifford Karl Langley. They united their love in marriage on August 18, 1962. Together in their 46 years of marriage, before his passing in 2008, they had 3 children; Carla, Cristie and Dusty.
After she raised her children, she felt empty so she went back to school and proudly obtained her LPN license at the age of 44. She worked for Bear Lake Memorial Hospital and Skilled Nursing Facility and Bear Lake Memorial Home Health for over 20 years. She especially loved her nursing home and home bound patients. She was a great care giver to each one of her patients. She retired in 2006 and spent many years since doing what she loved the most; beautifying her yard, home and spending time with family.
Norma is survived by her two daughters, Carla (Andy) Tatum of Pleasant View, Utah and Cristie (Charles) Williams of Paris; one son, Dusty (Tammy Etheridge) Langley of Pocatello; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren with one more on the way; one sister, Shirley (Wafe) Johnson of California; and two very special sister in laws that were more like mothers to her; Geneva (Sissie) Denham and Louise Chavers of Mississippi and many loved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held November 13, 2013 at Schwab-Matthews Mortuary Chapel. Interment at the Paris Cemetery she rests peacefully next to the love of her life, Clifford Langley.
