Salt Lake Tribune, 12/30/13

A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and dear friend passed away peacefully on Friday December 27, 2013 surrounded by family. Jim was born on October 9, 1938 in Montpelier Idaho to Elmer and Janice Williams. He married his sweetheart and wife of 50 years, Louis Morrow, February 27th, 1959. They lived most of their lives in West Jordan where they raised their two children. In retirement they moved to the Nounan Valley to escape the busyness of Salt Lake City. In both locations they were blessed with the many friends that have become their extended family.
Jim's greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends. Jim loved hunting, fishing, ranching, and traveling to his grandchildren's football and equestrian events. It really didn't matter what he was doing as long as he was with family and friends.
Jim also loved telling stories to all who would listen. There were tales of racing down a muddy dirt road with no windshield, run-away horses, and campfires in the bitter cold. The stories went on and on resulting in a lifetime of memories for all. The laughter in his voice while telling these stories will be forever missed.
Jim is survived by his son Kevin (Jane) Williams, daughter Kerry (Jay) Hansen, five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Brother John Dawson (Colleen) Williams, Sisters Jane Bauman, Becky Johnston, Juanita (Dan) Williams, Jackie Jones, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his wife Louis, and his parents Elmer and Janice Williams.
Funeral services will be held in Georgetown at the LDS Chapel on Monday December 30th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call prior to the services from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment will be held Tuesday December 31, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates 6500 S. Redwood Road West Jordan, Utah.
