WINDER, IDAHO — Leon Frank Skinner, 71, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at the Franklin County Transitional Care Center in Preston, Idaho. He was born July 21, 1942, in Montpelier, Idaho, the son of Kenneth Frank and Delma Hansen Skinner. He married Janet Swann on Dec. 21, 1962, in the Logan Utah Temple. She preceded him in death on June 11, 2004.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served as Sunday School president. He enjoyed old movies, reading books and spending time with his family.
He is survived by three sons and one daughter: Kenneth Skinner of Winder, Idaho; Frank (Karma) Skinner of Declo, Idaho; Lenet (Dan) Schenk of Banida, Idaho; Boyd E. Skinner of Pocatello, Idaho; by three grandchildren, Swann, Jessie and Jacob Skinner; by two brothers, Reuel (Charlotte) Skinner of Cleveland, Idaho; Arvin (Jane) Skinner of Thatcher, Idaho; by a sister, Maureen Howell of Twin Falls, Idaho, and by a sister-in-law, Linda Skinner of Salt Lake City. He was preceded in death by his wife, by his parents, by a brother, Gerold Skinner, and by a brother-in-law, Morris Howell.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 7, in the Winder Idaho LDS Church. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 East, Preston, and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
