Jennie Hernvall, 92, died in Sandpoint on Thursday, Jan 16, 1996.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan 20, in Coffelt's Moon Chapel. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, Jan 19, from 2 - 4 p.m.
Jennie was born in Echo, Wash., on Dec. 18, 1904, the daughter of Rolland and Delia Watts. She had traveled extensively, by train, as a child. She also lived in Valley Ford, Wash., where she attended school.
She married Gustav Hernvall on June 11, 1923, in St. Maries, Idaho. She had lived in St. Maries and Priest Lake, Idaho, moving to Ponderay, in 1936. She also lived on a farm in the Selle area and moved to Sandpoint in 1966. She had worked for many years as a sales clerk for Sprouse Ritz, retiring in 1967.
She enjoyed sewing and crocheting, her flower and vegetable gardens. Her family was special and the center of her life.
She is survived by three children, Robert Hernvall of Sandpoint, Ruth McBurney of Sandpoint, and Nina Kotschevar of Sandpoint; seven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother and a sister.
