married about 1825 TN., to Martha Ann Adams b.1806TN. Martha died during a yellow fever epidemic in 1853. She is buried in New Prospect Cemetery Monroe Co. MS. ( I will be buried there also. I have 5 generation buried there.

5.Thomas A. Smith b. 8-8-1834 d. 1-26-1908. He was in the Vicksburg battle and taken prisoner by the Union. He had to sign a document that he would never take up arms again against the government.

John W. born 1842 died after the Battle of Chickamauga, TN.
The Confederates did not have hospitals, so he was sent home to die of which he did.
January 30, 1855, Thompson married Josephine Lowry.She was a Mormon and only 2 years older than Thompson's oldest son.
