J.W. Butler, 64, Succumbs Here
Joseph William Butler, 64, employe in the street department of the city of Idaho Falls for 21 years, died at his home at 142 East Fifteehth Street shortly after noon Tuesday, April 11, 1933. He had been suffering with cancer for some time.
Mr. Butler was born in Salt Lake City, UT, October 22, 1868 the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John O. Butler. He came to Idaho falls 45 years ago. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Charoltte Castle Butler, and eight sons and daughters; Mrs. Jay Waters, Ralph Butler, Joseph Butler, Lewis Butler, Mrs. Hazel Pearson, Chester Butler and Raymond Butler of Idaho Falls and John Butler of Nampa. Three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Fawson of Long Beach, CA; Mrs. Hattie Jacobson of Blowout, ID; Mrs. Frances Station, of Rigby and a brother George Butler of Swan Valley, also survive.
Funeral services will be held at the LDS Third Ward chapel Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Bishop A. O. Andelin will officiate. Interment will be in Rose Hill cemetery with the Wood Funeral Service directing. The body will be in state at the funeral chapel where friends may call Friday morning.
