Randy Sanford McAffee, 56, of Moore, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2006 at his home in Moore following an extended illness.
Randy was born on May 22, 1950 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Gerald Clayton and Helen Williams McAffee. He was raised in the Lost River Valley and continued to live there throughout his entire life. He attended school in the Arco and Mackay school districts and graduated from Mackay high school. Randy attended college at Idaho State University’s VoTech program and graduated with a machinist degree.
He married Trilby Smith on September 19, 1970 in Darlington, Idaho. Together they had two children, a son and a daughter.
Randy farmed and ranched throughout the valley. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially steelhead fishing, and also adored the time he spent with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Trilby of Moore; a son Renn (Katie) of Moore, a daughter Madeena (Mike) Sherman of Jordan Valley, Oregon; his mother-in-law Hilda Smith of Wendell, Idaho; two brothers Jerry (Linda) of Arco, and Ryan (Genae) of Leslie, a sister Mavis McAffee of Salt Lake City, Utah, and nine grandchildren, Dakotea, Wyatt, Colton, Braylee, and Hunter McAffee, and Cody, Latigo, Sage and Tanner Sherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his father in law, a nephew Richard and a niece Stacy.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at the Leslie LDS Church with Bishop David Fullmer conducting. A visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment was in the Mt. McCaleb Cemetery in Mackay. Services are under the direction of Hawker Lost River Funeral Home.
