Ellen Mayme Laughridge, 73, of Arco, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2006 at the Lost Rivers Hospital.
Ellen was born on July 26, 1933 in Bliss, Idaho to Dean William and Mayme Gertrude Odle Laughridge. She was raised in the Wilder area. She attended schools in the Wilder school district and graduated from Wilder High School.
Throughout her life Ellen worked for various families as a nanny. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed playing Bingo, reading (especially romance novels), doing needlepoint, painting and other hand-crafts. She had two cats whom she loved and cared for.
Ellen is survived by two sisters, Anna (Fred) Walters of Tigard, Oregon and Wilda Jones of Houston, Missouri; two nieces, Evelyn (Clyde) Hymas of Moore, and Kellie Henry of Beaverton, Oregon, and numerous other nieces and nephews.
According to her wishes, an organ and tissue donation was performed with cremation following. There will be no public services held at this time. All arrangements have been under the direction of Hawker Lost River Funeral Home.
