BOISE -- Mary Waddoups Snyder, 88, died Oct. 31, 2007, at Beehive Home Care Facility in Star, Idaho.
She was born in Moore on Nov. 26, 1918, to Thara Call and Joise King Waddoups. She grew up on the family ranch
on Antelope Creek and in Moore. She attended school
at Sunnyside, Moore Grade School and Blackfoot High School. She studied at the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, Utah, and graduated from Links Business College in Boise.
During World War II, she married C.R. Peterson. They divorced. On April 19, 1973, she married Edward "Eddie" Martin Snyder. They lived in Moore. She retired after 31 years of service with the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
She served in the LDS church as a primary teacher, junior Sunday school music director and MIA Leader. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Veterans of Foreign Wars and volunteered for the March of Dimes and the American Cancer Society. Mary's greatest wish, to go home and to lie at peace beside her "Eddie," has been granted.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Jodeen (Jack) Spencer; one granddaughter; and two great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmie Waddoups and Ovy K. Waddoups.
Funeral services will be at
2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at the Moore LDS Stake, with Bishop Kim Davies conducting. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to services at the church.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Arco. Services are under the direction of the Anderson Family Funeral Home in Arco.
