HOWE -- Margaret Janet Little Waymire, 93, died Friday, November 23, 2007, at her daughter's home from an extended illness.
She was born March 24, 1914, in Howe, Idaho, to James D. Little and Alice Roberta Mays Little. Margaret was raised and attended elementary schools in Howe. She graduated from Idaho Falls High School and enrolled in St. Margaret's Academy in Boise. She also attended the University of Idaho in Moscow, where she was a member of the Rifleman's Team and the basketball team. She eventually received her associate's degree from the University of Idaho Southern Branch in Pocatello.
On October 31, 1935, she married Donald Waymire in Idaho Falls. They lived in Oregon for a time before moving to the ranch in Little Lost in 1945.
At age 61, Margaret received her Bachelor's Degree and began teaching school in Idaho Falls and Arco. She enjoyed reading, basketball and working with her livestock. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her nine children, Jim (Connie) Waymire of Arco, Paula (Ron) Inskeep of Aberdeen, Janet (Kent) Cummins of Arco, Ronald (Jody) Waymire of Arco, Dave Waymire of Howe, Marcheta (Dean) Mays of Howe, Mary (Brad) Smith of Idaho Falls, Colleen (Raymond) Madarietta of Howe and Keith (Connie) Waymire of Howe; a brother, Forrest (LaVon) Little of Meridian; a sister, Jean Werry of Boise; 44 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert Jay Waymire; four brothers, James, Andrew, Calvin and Jay D. Little; and two sisters, Helen Miller and Grace Anderson.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Little Lost River Bible Church.
Interment will be in the Clyde Cemetery under the direction of Anderson Family Funeral Home in Arco.
