Keith John McCammon passed away Jan. 17, 2013 at Spring Creek Assisted Living in Soda Springs, Idaho. Keith was born in Osmond, WY on May 29, 1933 to John and Evelyn McCammon. Keith was the first born of seven children (three brothers and three sisters), Max (Polly) McCammon, Gerrold (Mary Ann) McCammon, Kim (June) McCammon, Beverley (Earl) Hemmert, and Carole (Ron) Hegstrom. Yulene McCammon preceded Keith in death along with his parents.
Keith married Judy Rose Hemmert on Oct. 11, 1958 in Soda Springs. They were married 10 years. They had four children, Bryan McCammon, Brenda (Tony) Crnkovich, Clint (Patty) McCammon and Laura Haag. Keith has nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Keith was drafted into the Army in 1954 and served three years of active duty. He retired from the city of Grace, Idaho and received a certificate from Gov. Phil Batt to recognize him for his outstanding achievement as a public employee for 30 years. He was employed by the city of Soda Springs for 10 years and worked for the city of Grace for 20 years.
During his retirement years Keith really enjoyed fishing and hunting, but especially enjoyed fishing with his brother, Max, and cousin, Kadell. Keith also enjoyed spending time with his family and attending the annual family reunions.
Services were held on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 at the Schwab Funeral Home, located at 211 Jepperson Rd in Thayne, WY. Graveside services were held immediately following at the Afton, WY Cemetery.
