Keith Lynn Isle was born on May 26, 1947 to Myron Austin Isle and Helen Irene Blackburn in Soda Springs, Idaho. He passed away at the University of Utah Medical Center on March 9, 2013. He grew up in Soda Springs and attended his schooling there. He graduated from Soda springs High School in 1965. He attended Logan State University in Logan Utah. He married Kathy Rausch on June 18, 1966. They were later divorced. He married Mary (Beth) Sutherland on August 25, 1979. They were later divorced.
Keith joined the Navy and attended Navy Corpsman school where he worked as a Lab technician in Navy hospitals and in Viet Nam. This schooling carried on to his civilian life and he worked as the Lab Tech at Caribou Memorial Hospital for many years. He was also on the Soda springs Fire Department until he moved to Aztec, New Mexico after he and Beth were married.
He worked in the Safety Field for many years in Mining and plant production and construction. He spent time in New Mexico, Salt Lake City, Utah, LaPaz Bolivia, Baltimore, Maryland ,Austin, Texas and several other places while in the Safety Field. He was very proud that he was able to get his CSP certificate, (Certified Safety Professional) and was a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers.
He was blessed with two Children from his first marriage and two Step Children he helped Beth raise, who he loved dearly.
Keith was hard to get to know but impossible to forget. He loved woodworking and was looking forward to retiring and being able to work in his shop and spend time with his kids. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by his children, Heather (Shane) Holtman of Taylorsville, Utah and Dustin (Lori) Isle also of Taylorsville, Sharlene (Roger) Armstrong and Lance Sutherland of Aztec, New Mexico and his x wife Beth Sutherland. His Grandchildren: Alexis, Katelin and Austin Isle, Jason (Casey) Hansen ,Brittany (Mike) Hawkes, Holly and Eric Armstrong and Joel Sutherland. Great Grandchildren: Dominic and Dakota Hawkes.
Two Brothers and one sister, Willis J. (Della) Isle, Helen Irene (Bill) Godby and Val (Karen) Isle.
He was proceeded in Death by his parents: Myron and Helen Isle, 2 sisters: Patsy Lou Isle and Mary Kaye Isle and one brother Earl Wayne Isle.
Services will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Noon at the Soda Springs Presbyterian Church. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs and also on Thursday morning from 10 a.m. to 1130 a.m. prior to going to the church for services. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
