Grace: Charles Neil Hubbard, 62, of Grace, Idaho passed away at home in his sleep on Sunday, April 21, 2013. He was born to Elvin Charles Hubbard and Helen Titus on July 14, 1950. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Grace High School. From there he completed a mechanics course at ISU Votech and then served a mission in Hawaii and made many lasting relationships there. After his mission he returned to Hawaii and attended a year at the Church College of Hawaii. He then returned home once again where he married Lisa Robbins on April 12, 1973 for time and all eternity in the Logan, Utah Temple.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Joan Mendenhall and granddaughter Naomi Tennant. Neil loved living on the farm where he learned how to work and passed that knowledge onto his children. He also had a great love of the outdoors and would often take his family into the hills where they enjoyed fishing, weenie roasts, picnics and collecting Autumn leaves every fall. He had a great love for the Gospel and the Church where he served in many callings that ranged from Bishop to Nursery Leader. His last service in the church was as an ordinance worker in the Logan Temple. He loved to serve and that was another thing that he passed on to his children. He loved the members of the Williams Ward and especially the youth.
His hobbies were to ride his Harley with his sons and to spend time with his children and 14 grandchildren. He also enjoyed the occasional float down the canal and sitting around the fire in the backyard while telling stories into the night. He loved John Deere tractors, snowmobiles, the Church and his family. He will be greatly missed.
Services will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Noon at the Thatcher-Williams Ward Chapel in Niter.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Church in Niter and also on Friday morning from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be at the Grace Cemetery.
