Grant Hall Lloyd, 75, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho. Grant was born on January 20, 1938 in Grace, Idaho the son of Henry Haslam and Maud Gunnell Hall Lloyd.

He was Born and raised in Grace and graduated from Grace High School and played for their first State Championship Basketball team in 1954-55.

Grant married Marco Ann Phelps on November 21, 1959 in Soda Springs. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on April27, 1964. They farmed and ranched in Grace and Wayan, Idaho for many years and then they moved to Soda Springs. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Grants greatest love was his family and ranching. He also enjoyed volunteering as a coach for little league basketball and also had coached church young men’s basketball.

Grant is survived by his wife Marco Ann Lloyd, one son and three daughters, Dwight Henry Lloyd of Wayan, ID, Christie and Scott Evans of Wayan, ID, Lorie and Trent Rasmussen of Tremonton, UT, Tracie Lloyd of Soda Springs, ID. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and one brother, Tom Lloyd and two sisters, Donna Stoddard and Ann Randall and his mother-in-law Wilda Phelps and brother-in-law Preston Phelps. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Laramie Jo Lloyd, and four sisters, Etheleen Andreasen, Bernice Hogan, Ester Lloyd and baby sister Lloyd, and three brothers, Ray Lloyd, Merrill Lloyd and Henry Jr. Lloyd

Services will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Noon at the Soda Springs 1st Ward Chapel (361 South 3rd East). The family will visit with friends on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and on Thursday morning from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
