Sibbett, 76, of Chubbuck, Idaho and formally of Soda Springs and Gray Lake areas, passed away peacefully following an illness on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013 while in the company of family members at a care facility in Pocatello. He was born on July 19, 1936, in Soda Springs to Cecil D. and Vera (Dray) Sibbett. Bud attended school in a one room school house and graduated from the 8th grade in 1950 along with one other classmate in Gray, Idaho. Bud cherished his childhood in Grays Lake and referred to Caribou Mountain as “his mountain.” He loved spending days on the mountain on horseback, stopping at miners and sheep camps. Operators at the plant always breathed a sigh of relief when Bud showed up on a shut down time at the plant. He was good at his job and everyone knew that bud could bring them back online in record time. Among Bud’s many hobbies and interests, he enjoyed playing the harmonica and he loved to train and hunt with bird dogs.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents; and two bothers, James Osmond and Blaine Sibbett. He is survived by his wife, Arnetta of Chubbuck; daughter Wynne (Alan) Crawford and grandchildren, Anna (Robert) Collins of Soda springs, Lesa Crawford of Pocatello, and Sandra (Justin) Mays of Amherst, Virginia; as well as great grandchildren, Jaydon, Destiny, Dillon, Liberty, Addalie and Cedar; and a sister Gayle Pike.
