GRACE, IDAHO — Philip Lee Gibson, 23, of Grace, Idaho, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013, in Casper, Wyoming.
He was born Aug. 20, 1989, in Soda Springs, Idaho, the son of Gordon and Peggy Gibson.
Philip graduated from Grace High School in 2008. He was involved in 4H for 9 years and scouting. After graduation, he worked as a utility pole inspector for OSMOSE for a year and half before continuing his education in the lineman apprenticeship at Wasatch Electric, where he worked until the time of his death.
Philip was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fixing motors and vehicles, as well as spending time with family and friends. He is loved by all and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his parents, Gordon and Peggy Gibson of Grace, grandparents Emmil and Ilene Sherman of Preston, Arlene Gibson of Grace, brothers, Glen (Holly) Gibson of Grace (their children, Gracey, Keifer, Evan, Jett), Wess Gibson of Pocatello, Patrick Gibson of Pocatello, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Lee Gibson, Seth and Carrol Hansen, and an uncle Dallas Gibson.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 at the Grace LDS Stake Center (404 S. Main St.). Family will meet with friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the Stake Center and also 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday morning, prior to services. Interment will be in the Grace Cemetery.
The family appreciated all efforts in the search for Philip, and the love, support and prayers on their behalf throughout this ordeal.
