Mary Diantha Rindlisbacher Perkins, age 93, died Sept. 7, 2013 in Ogden, UT. She was born February 7, 1920 in Lund, Idaho to Frederick and Wilhelmina Scheider Rindlisbacher. On September 20, 1944 she married Earl Dayton Perkins in Sheridan, Wyoming. He preceded her in death on March 22, 1982.
Mary graduated from Preston High School in 1937, and attended Albion State Normal and graduated in 1940. After graduation she taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades in one room for 2 years. She then later taught in Cleveland, Idaho. She was the founder and manager of the Ogden Beauty Salon and School from September 13, 1954 to March 14, 1978. She was a licensed Cosmetologist and Cosmetology Instructor.
Mary was a former member of the Ogden Chamber of Commerce, Utah State Cosmetology Association, and Business and Professional Women's Club. Mary was also an active Volunteer at the Weber Memorial Care Center in Roy, Utah for several years.
After her husband died she traveled extensively. In 1989 she moved to Overton, Nevada with a very dear friend Victor L. Salerno. She enjoyed teaching yoga and doing volunteer work at the Jim Boyles Senior Center in Overton, Nevada.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband; 12 brothers and sisters and her friend, Victor Salerno.
Graveside Services will be held at 2 p.m. in the Ogden City Cemetery on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013. Arrangements entrusted to Myers Ogden Mortuary.
