Soda Springs: Ruby Christensen Bolton, 91, of Soda Springs, returned home to her Heaveny Father on Friday, October 11, 2013 at the Caribou Memorial Nursing Home in Soda Springs. Ruby was born on May 22, 1922 in Central, Idaho the daughter of Christian Miller and Pearl Eliza Jorgensen Christensen.

She graduated from Grace High School. She lived in Central Idaho until she was 18 years old when she moved to Soda Springs.

Ruby married Robert Clair Bolton on June 1, 1940 in Central, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple in 1943. They moved to Pocatello and later moved back to Soda Springs where she has lived ever since.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had served in various callings including visiting teacher, teacher in Mutual and speech director.

She worked at JC Penney, Sears and also a secretary for her husband at the Texaco and Conoco Stations.

She was a member of the Homemakers Club and was in a card club that met once a week. She loved to play the piano and grew beautiful flowers. She was a great cook and housekeeper and loved to play cards with her friends.

She is survived by one son and two daughters, Clair Robert “Bobby” and Valerie Bolton of Soda Springs, ID, Anita LaRae and Larry French of Inkom, ID, Coralee and Mark Liechty of Soda Springs, ID. She is also survived by 16 Grandchildren, 28 Great-Grandchildren, 7 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Bolton and a son Curtis Lynn Bolton, three brothers and four sisters.

Services will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Noon at the Soda Springs LDS Stake Center. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday evening from 7-8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and on Wednesday morning from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Stake Center prior to services. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
