Carroll Dean Harris, 79, of Soda Springs passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at his home. Dean was born on December 25, 1934 in Soda Springs the son of Denton Weaver and Martha Maughan Harris. He married Effie Fern Gamble on June 12,1954 in Soda Springs, Idaho.
Dean had lived in Thatcher, Idaho for 13 years and Soda Springs for 66 years. He worked for Monsanto for 40 Years.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He is survived by his wife Effie Fern, and two sons, Lonny Dean & Nancy Harris, Rodney Lynn Harris, and one daughter Daneen Carol & Steve Roan and one daughter-in-law MaryAnne Roberts Harris. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and one on the way, a brother Lynn W. & Sharon Harris, and three sisters, Joan Crane, Susan & Carl Jorgensen, Anne & Wade Olorenshaw. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Frank Wade Harris.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 at the Funeral Home prior to services. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donation be made to an organization or charity of your choice.
